I keep hearing all these rules from the ‘dating experts’. Personally I’m out to have a good evening and I spend whatever I want to spend to enjoy myself. Sometimes I’m flush with money but am in the mood for one of those places that have great food but are kind of low rent. Sometimes I’m really in the mood for first class service. Please yourself dude, you are paying and it’s her job to be good company and enjoy herself, if she can’t you have just eliminated a loser. If you want, think of two or three places and let her pick.

Your average “good” quality meal will be anywhere from $9 on sale to $15 or $17 for full price. That is one persons meal and /or menu item. I say find a restaurant that sells semi unique food like California Dreaming or something like that and splurge a little. Or find a small family owned place and pay more for the personal service and a bottle of wine with something light, like fish.
