How do I deal with a blind date I agreed to out of politeness?

So I was silly and agreed to go out on a blind date. I really don’t want to have anything to do this person (or for that matter, the person who set us up), but I was being polite and I know he meant well. The person seems nice, but I already told them I wasn’t interested in dating. He still wants to meet as “friends”. How do I get out of this politely?
