This happens in every race(Black, White, Mexican, Asian, etc). Maybe the Mexican girls feel like you should stick to white guys, more than likely they’re jealous because he’s not with one of them. They feel like he’s a sellout and should be with someone of his own race; like he’ll have more in common.
As for your family making fun of you, it’s not right, You should really talk to them about that, especially if it bothers you.
